The cancellation
of the Guns
N'Roses concert
is prompting
changes in the
consumer laws to
guarantee fans
are not left
holding unused
tickets and can
get their money
back.
The Ministerio
de Economía,
Industria y
Comercio (MEIC)
has said it is
drafting
regulations to
protect
consumers
against fraud by
concert
promoters,
including sports
events and any
other type of
public
entertainment.
The vice-presdient
of the MEIC,
Gilberto Campos,
said that there
is no current
regulation that
is clear in what
happens in the
case an event is
cancelled.
Campos explained
that the
regulation will
explain the
procedures that
promoters have
to follow in
refunding money.
Following the
certain
cancellation of
the Guns N'Roses
concerts, fans
