The tourism institute says that between January and March, Costa Rica received 65.800 more tourists that the same period in 2009, representing an increase of 11.5%.

The Ministro de Turismo, Allan Flores, said that that last month (April) the increase over April 2009 was 15.8%, indicating a strong recovery in the tourism sector.
