Illegal Weapon Factory Dismantled in Venezuela

CARACAS - The Venezuelan authorities dismantled a clandestine weapon factory Friday, possibly dedicated to supply illegal groups in the Venezuelan western state of Barinas.

A report by Venezolana de Television from Barinas said the occupation was registered in Santa Barbara de Barinas.

Police chiefs reported 21 shotguns, three revolvers, guns and mechanisms to make and repair firearms, were confiscated.

Experts said that according to the report factories like this supply weapons to illegal groups trying to spread panic with extortion and kidnapping.
