Interpol To Investigate
Killing In El Salvador
(Associated Press) Interpol has condemned a
drive-by shooting in El Salvador that
seriously wounded a Mexican diplomat and
killed his wife.
The international police agency says it is
sending specialists there to investigate
Friday's crime. The diplomat, First
Secretary Guillermo Medina Alfaro, has
worked with Interpol.
Interpol, which is based in France, says it
is determined to "bring the murderers to
justice."
In Saturday's statement, Interpol Secretary
General Ronald K. Noble condemned the
"cowardly act" by men on a motorcycle who
fired at the diplomat's car.
El Salvadoran police say the motive of the
attack _ which killed the diplomat's wife,
Claudia de Medina _ is not known. |
