Supports
Cuban 5
PANAMA -
Social
communicators,
jurists
and
students
in
Panama
joined
in the
struggle
to free
the five
Cuban
antiterrorist
fighters
unfairly
imprisoned
in U.S.
jails
for
defending
their
country.
Filemon
Medina,
general
secretary
of the
Journalists
Union of
Panama,
denounced
the
irregularities
of the
trial of
Gerardo
Hernandez,
Antonio
Guerrero,
Ramon
Labañino,
Fernando
Gonzalez
and René
Gonzalez.
The
Five, as
they are
universally
known,
are
Cubans
faithful
to their
country,
whose
real
crime
was
monitoring
actions
by
terrorist
groups
based in
U.S.
territory.
The
Journalists
Union of
Panama
ratified
its
demand
of
freedom
and
justice
for the
Cuban
Five,
and an
international
movement
that is
gaining
more
followers
each
day. |
