Commuter
Train
Service
To Belén
To Begin
in
January
Residents
of Belén
de
Heredia
will
soon be
hearing
the
whistle
of the
train as
the
Instituto
Costarricense
de
Ferrocarriles
(Incofer)
continues
its
expansion
program
in its
commuter
train
service.
The
train
will
begin
rolling
in
January
2011
between
San
Antono
de Belén
and run
on the
San José
-
Puntarenas
track
that is
currently
used by
the San
José -
Pavas
commuter
train
and the
tourist
train to
Caldera.
Miguel
Carabaguíaz,
president
of the
Incofer,
said the
track is
in good
condition,
requiring
maintenance
and
minor
repairs.
