Venezuela
Receives
Second
Shipment
of
Nicaraguan
Aid

Venezuela
received
Friday a
second
shipment
of 10
tons of
humanitarian
aid from
Nicaragua,
which
includes
blankets
and
sheets
for
those
affected
by the
rains of
recent
weeks.
According
to
official
sources,
the new
donation
includes
7,156
blankets,
90
mattresses,
1,410
buckets
of water
and over
1,700
beds for
those
affected
In the
next few
hours
flights
from
Belarus
and
Brazil,
among
other
countries
are
awaited.
When the
first
Nicaraguan
shipment
was
received,
Foreign
Minister
Nicolas
Maduro
thanked
international
support
for
assistance
in the
face of
the
tragedy.
The
rains
left at
least 35
dead,
six
missing,
thousands
of homes
destroyed,
severe
damage
to road
infrastructure
and
about
130,000
refugees
in
shelters
set up
by the
Government.
Falcón,
Miranda
and
Zulia
are
among
the 14
states
hit by
the bad
weather.
