Of Eden
Pastora
The
order
does not
apply in
Nicaragua
Criminal
court
justice,
Rodrigo
Vallecillos,
on
Wednesday
signed
the
international
arrest
warrant
for Eden
Pastor
for
causing
environmental
damage
in Costa
Rica.
The
judge is
part of
the
Fiscalía
de
Pococí
in the
province
of
Limón.
The
Fiscalia
said
yesterday
that the
order
would
not be
sent to
the
international
police
agency,
INTERPOL,
that
applies
in any
country
other
than
Nicaragua.
What
that
means is
that
Pastora
cannot
leave
Nicaragua
or face
arrest
and
extradition
to Costa
Rica
where he
will
face
charges
of
environmental
damage.
The
warrant
is final
and not
subject
to
appeals.
