Panama Issues High
Tide Warning
PANAMA - Panama's National Civil Protection
System (SINAPROC) has issued a high tide
warning on the Pacific coast from today to
February 3.
According to SINAPROC, the situation demands
extreme precaution, considering that the
number of people visiting Panamanian beaches
increases during the summer season.
SINAPROC estimated high tides of up to 17.7
feet, so it recommended beachgoers to go to
areas where lifeguard services are available
and to watch children closely.
In addition, SINAPROC has taken preventive
measures on beaches in the provinces of
Panana, Los Santos, Chiriqui, Veraguas and
Darien.
