Salud To Ensure Proper
Sanitary Conditions At Voting Booths On
Sunday
The ministerio de Salud is ensuring that
each one of the more than 6.000 polling
stations on Sunday will have hand soap,
towel paper and alcohol gel, available.
The ministra de Salud, María Luisa Ávila,
confirmed the sanitary measures at voting
booths on Sunday in an effort to control the
spread of the AH1N1 flu virus in the face of
a second wave of the virus that has so far
claimed 50 lives in Costa Rica.
Ávila explained that her officials are
distributing the 750 cases which contain
27.000 units of 80 ml alcohol gel, donated
to Salud, as well as 560 cases of liquid
soap.
Each voting booth will have sufficient
protection, said Ávila, adding that there
will be 1.500 inspectors in the field on
Sunday to ensure the property sanitary
conditions are met. |
