Gas Price Hike Approved
The cost of a litre of super gasoline will take a whopping ¢39 colones hike, while regular will jump ¢26 and diesel ¢24.

The gas price hike was approved Monday by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep).

The new prices for a litre of super gasoline will go from the present ¢588 to ¢627; regular from ¢573 to ¢599; and diesel from ¢511 to ¢535.

The prices of kerosen, av jet fuel and lpg gas will also go up.

The new prices will be in effect at the pumps by the end of next week.
