Calls to Prepare for Defense
CARACAS - Venezuelan Vice President Elias
Jaua called people to prepare for defending
the country against US economic and
political ambitions.
Venezuela has huge mineral, energy and
strategic resources, which are coveted by US
imperialism and transnational companies,
that is why our people have to by prepare to
guarantee territorial peace and integrity,
stated Jaua.
According to the official, with that aim,
more than 2,500 members of the National
Bolivarian Militia end on Friday a three-day
mobilization in Cojedes states.
The mobilization ended with a 2.5-miles
march, in which the military high command
joined up, told Jaua to Venezolana the
Television.
Accordin to the Vice President, the country
people, workers and citizens training is
also part of the governmental efforts to
promote the people's war.
In this regard, Minister of Defense Carlos
Mata highlighted the spirit and commitment
that the member of the militia showed during
the exercise.
In the mobilization also take part members
of the Bolivarian National Guard and the
land, air and naval Armed Forces.
