Tsunami Watch In Costa
Rica After Chile Quake
The US government on Saturday extended a
tsunami watch to Costa Rica, Panama,
Colombia and Antarctica following the
earthquake that hit an area in the Pacific
Ocean near the coast of Chile
Tsunamis carrying waves as high as 1.5
meters have been generated by the massive
earthquake in southern Chile on early
Saturday.
Imminent danger has been issued for the
entire coast of Chile and Peru and a
less-urgent tsunami watch was issued for
Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador
and Antarctica. |
