Woman Gets Stuck In Sewer Hole

Bomberos (Firefighters) in Heredia have so far and counting rescued three people from a devouring sewer.

Located 50 metres south and 200 metres east of the emergency entrance of the San Vicente de Paul hospital, in Heredia, the sewer hole has trapped three people, as they stepped in the semi-unprotected opening, requiring the rescue of fire department.

The latest to get trapped was 48 year old Yamileth Asofeifa Carranza.

The woman was trapped in the sewer opening for more than 30 minutes waiting on the bomberos to come to the rescue, that had to cut out the remaining bars of the cover to free the woman.

Yamileth was taken to hospital, only a few steps away, and was released.
