Panama Ready for
Americas Basketball League
PANAMA - The group B basketball competition
to be held in Panama for the Americas League
3rd Season slated for January 22 to 24, is
ready.
According to the Panama Basketball
Federation the tournament will host teams
Halcones de Cordoba from Mexico, Universo
BRB Brasilia, Penarol de Mar del Plata from
Argentina and Navieros de Colon from Panama.
The games to be played on Friday at Roberto
Duran court are Universo BRB vs. Peñarol and
Navieros de Colon vs. Halcones de Cordoba.
The winner will go on to the finals, in
which Quimsa from Argentina, Espartanos from
Venezuela and Halcones de Xalapa from Mexico
are already classified.
This will be the first time a local club
will participate in a competition directed
by the International Basket Federation (FIBA)
commission in the Americas.
