Romanian Man Captured Again After Being Released By Judge

The police did their job, the arrested a man walking around naked in high class Heredia neighbourhood, that led them to a stash of 13 kilos of cocaine. However, a few hours later, a judge let the man go free for lack of evidence and that he had no fixed address.

So, it was now up to the agents of the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) to capture the Romanian national who was identified only by his last name, Yovan.

This time the man was dressed, getting out of a taxi when he surprised by OIJ agents who, using trained dogs, detected traces of illegal drugs in a suitcase he was carrying.

However, it is not yet known if the man will stay in jail this time or be let free again.

The story began Wednesday night when residents of Bosque Santa Rosa in the upscale Cariari, Heredia, neighbourhood called the Fuerza Pública of a man roaming the streets naked.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the man wandering and incoherent, leading them to his house nearby where 13 kilos of cocaine were found.

Residents, as well as police officials, were surprised and upset at the decision of a judge to let the man free.

For the time being, Yovan is in the custody of the officials of the Ministerio Público, where he is expected to be held without bail, unless another judge released the man. Again.
