Qatar, Costa Rica Sign
Economic And Other Deals
Official talks between Costa Rican
president, Oscar Arias and the the Emir H H
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, of Qatar,
resulted in the signing of an economic
agreement between the two countries,
including a Tourism Cooperation Agreement.
Other agreements signed by officials of both
countries were a Technical and Scientific
Cooperation Agreement and an Agreement on
encouragement and reciprocal protection of
investments as well as a memorandum of
understanding on bilateral political
consultations between the two Foreign
Affairs Ministries.
The Emir travelled to Costa Rica, staying at
the Four Seasons hotel in the Gulf Papagayo,
where Arias, foreign minister Bruno Stagno,
Allan Flores the minister of Tourism and
other Costa Rican officials met the with the
Emir.
