Nicaragua Economy to Grow in 2010

MANAGUA - The Nicaraguan government is hopeful their economy will recover in 2010, presidential economical aide of President Daniel Ortega, Bayardo Arce, stated here.

The official, one of the Commanders that led the revolutionary triumph in 1979, said forecasts for 2010 say the economy is expected to grow plus one percent, while inflation should reach three to five percent.

The government hopes to meet those goals by implementing five projects on renewable energy and the construction of 4,000 social houses for low-income families, Arce told TV Channel Multinoticias on Tuesday.
