Costa Rica To
Host The 2013
Juegos
Centroamericanos
The Villa
Olímpica
(Olympic
Village) will be
converted into a
housing at the
end of the 2013
Juegos
Centroamericanos,
which Costa Rica
will host for
the firs time.

The announcement
was made on
Saturday as the
Juegos
Centroamericanos
chose San José
for the games
location.
The announcement
was made jointly
by Costa Rican
president, Laura
Chinchilla and
San José mayor,
Johnny Araya and
representatives
of the ICODER (Instituto
Costarricense
del Deporte).
To house the
2.500
participants
Costa Rica will
have to invest
in remodelling
gyms, pools,
tennis courts,
stadiums and the
creation of an "olypmic"
village. The
funds are
expected to come
from the coffers
of the central
government.
The games kick
off on Marh 3,
