Killer Couple
Captured In
Nicaragua!
The U.S. couple
wanted in Panama
ties to a series
of killings in
that country and
the subject of a
man hunt in
Costa Rica were
detained in the
waters of the
San Juan river
in Nicaragua,
this morning.

William "Wild
Bill" Adolfo
Cotrez Reese and
his wife, Jena
Seana Cortez
Costa Rican
authorities
learned that the
couple had
rented a house
in Santa Cruz de
Turrialba and
had told the
owners that they
had intention of
buying, using
the same modus
operandi in
Panama.
Panamanian
authorities
alerted Costa
Rican
authorities that
the fugitive
couple could be
in Costa Rica
after committing
various murders
in Bocas del
Toro, Panama.
The suspects are
couple that at
first were
believed to be
European
nationals, but
now police
believe to be
Americans, using
stolen and face
U.S. id.
William Adolfo
Cortez and his
wife, Jeana
Seana, are
accused of
killing at least
two people and
as many as
seven, while
living in Bocas
del Toro, near
the Costa Rican
border, were
also subject of
an intense
operation by the
Organismo de
Investigación
Judicial (OIJ)
in Costa Rica.
According to the
owners of the
house in Costa
Rica who alerted
police after
learning of the
identity of the
couple the
rented the house
to, the fugitive
couple had
expressed buying
their house.
Costa Rican
authorities
found that the
couple had
already
abandoned the
house, but kept
a vigil in case
they returned.
The suspected
were apprehended
in an area known
as "Tambor".
It appears that
when they were
close to the
Fuerza Pública
(Costa Rican
police) post,
where they were
to have reported
to cross into
Nicaragua,
Cortez, also
known as "Wild
Bill",
commandeered a
boat and the
couple fled into
the river, were
they were met by
the Nicaraguan
army with
machine guns and
other heavy
artillery at the
ready, when the
couple are said
to have stopped
the boat and
surrendered.
Costa Rican
officials say
that the couple
did not offer
resistance and
were taken to
the Boca de
Sarapiquí army
post and waiting
for Nicaraguan
police to take
them into
custody and the
arrival of Costa
Rican and
Panamanian
authorities.
