Seagal Still In
Costa Rica,
Playing Role of
Tourist
Although Steven
Seagal was
pretty peeved at
the treatment he
received this
time around,
actor is
reportedly still
in Costa Rica
playing the role
of tourist.
Although reports
were that Seagal
was to have left
Costa Rican on
Sunday, Johnatan
Picado León,
Seagal's lawyer
told the press
Monday the the
actor was still
in Costa Rica,
however, that
the meeting with
a group of
mayors at the
Club Union in
San José for
today has been
cancelled.
Last Friday
Seagal met with
Jorge Rojas,
director of the
OIJ, José María
Tejerino the
ministro de
Seguridad and
Foreign minsiter,
René Castro, to
discuss Costa
Rica's security
problems. He was
to have met with
presidenta
Chinchilla as
well, however,
she cancelled
the meeting.
Seagal said by
way of his
lawyer that he
felt he was
being judged
unfairly in
Costa Rica on
reports
allegations of
sexual abuse and
sexual
harassment in
the United
States.
The actor said
he felt insulted
and that he
would not be
investing in his
movie projects
in Costa Rica,
including a
planned purchase
of real estate
in Guancaste.
