World Cup Fever
Begins
Although Costa
Rica is not
playing in the
World Cup 2010,
soccer fever is
picking up
momentum in
advance of the
4pm kickoff
tomorrow in
South Africa
(8am in Costa
Rica) with the
opening game of
South Africa vs.
Mexico.
In Costa Rica,
Ticos and
foreigners
alike, are
getting ready
for the
celebrations and
retailers,
restaurants and
bars are
responding with
promotions.
Just about every
bar has its
television sets
warmed up and
the beer on ice,
event though
most of the
games will be in
the early hours
of the mornings.
