Argentine President to Visit
China
BUENOS AIRES - Argentine President Cristina
Fernandez will travel to China on July 13 on
a state visit initially scheduled for
January, the Argentinian Foreign Ministry
confirmed.
The announcement of the trip was made in
Shanghai by Minister of Foreign Affaire,
International Trade and Cult Jorge Taiana at
the end of a meeting with Chinese Deputy
Foreign Minister Wu Hailong aimed at giving
final touches to preparations for the visit,
considered a very important step to
strengthen the strategic relation between
the two countries.
After the announcement, Taiana said that
undoubtedly everything will be ready for
presidents to take a final decision in their
upcoming encounter.
Cristina Fernandez was expected to visit
China in late January, but at that time her
country was plunged into a heated debate for
the use of reserves of the Argentinian
Central Bank to pay public debt.
