A few days ago a
friend of mine
went to the US
embassy (in San
José) to apply
for a US visa.
Here is what you
have to do for
these -Blank-.
First go to
National bank
the worst and

Costa Rica stand
in line for an
hour then pay
$131.00 Then go
and get your
picture taken
$6000colones,
after that go to
the US embassy
website and
download a form,
fill out the
form as it you
where being
convicted of a
crime insert a
picture and pray
to God it
uploads.
Then with credit
card in hand
call a # they
give you to book
an appointment
with the Gods
that be, you
have 6 minutes
to ask questions
and pay another
$14.00, ( this
call centre by
the is located
in Mexico) then
you will receive
an appointment.
Everyone that
receives an
appointment has
the same time
8:30 am. And you
must be their 15
minutes early.
So you can stand
in line with 350
other people
that arrived 15
minutes early
and have an
appointment for
8:30.
After 2.5 hours
standing in the
sun watching
buses and trucks
roll by like
they are on fire
(Diesel Fumes)
you get to wait
inside the
building, first
almost being
strip searched.
Then in this
case a person
started telling
people in line
if you have not
paid $140.00
then you must
pay the
difference at
the cash teller,
as good old
Uncle Sam
changed the
price on June
3rd from $131,
to $140, even
though the
people at the
embassy that
day, paid before
the rate
increase and on
the receipt it
said the payment
was valid for
one year.
Now imagine
standing in
line, taking
time off work
and for what
ever reason you
do not have the
extra $9
dollars. Of
course this is
another line,
then after you
pay go back and
get your ass
back in the
original line. A
few hours later
they call your
number, yeah you
get to stand in
front of another
{explicitive}
that’s only job
appears is to
find a reason to
deny your visa.
In this case my
friend was asked
to name the
place that she
would be staying
in the US, she
said she had a
friend that
invited her to
stay at his
house, for lack
of a better word
this {explicitive}
assumed she was
a prostitute and
assumed she was
going to go to
see this guy for
the wrong
reasons.

By the way this
friend in the US
is 84 years old
and is very
sick.
