Rains Affect Guatemala Again
GUATEMALA - The weather turn out to play the
leading role this week in the occurrences of
Guatemala as if nature pretended to water
this country with heavy and constant rains.
The climatological phenomenon was benevolent
this time when it changed its course, so the
weather was dry and almost sunny on Friday.
However, the intensity of the rains caused
new damage in most of the country's
territory: more bridges collapsed and river
floods led to evacuation of a larger number
of people.
At least, there are no reports of deaths
this time. Otherwise, the number of
deceased, which was higher than 100 after
the previous disaster, would have caused
even greater pain among the Guatemalan
people. |
