Seriously Ill
Sources close to
Costa Rica's
most wanted
criminal, Roy
Hernandez
Chavarría, say
he is very ill
and needs
medical
attention, is
said to have
been infected
with the human
papillomavirus (HPV)
and is in
delicate
condition.

Hernandez tops
the Organismo de
Investigación
Judicial (OIJ)
list of the most
wanted in Costa
Rica for various
crimes,
including the
murder of Allan
Calderón
Valenciano in
February 2009.
Hernandez is
also wanted for
the shoot out in
an Alajuelita
bar in March
2009 that
resulted in the
death of Delmi
Serrano Morales.
In July of 2009,
Hernandez again
is involved in
another
shootout, also
in Alajuelita
and this time
with police,
resulting in the
death of police
officer Juan
Vargas Ureña,
who died at the
scene.
