Summit in Panama
PANAMA - National and foreign media
concentrate attention on Summit of Heads of
State of the Central American Integration
System (SICA) ongoing in Panama.
The Foreign ministry reported that more than
500 communication professionals have been
accredited to cover the event began on
Monday with the arrival of South Korean
president, Lee Myung-Bak.
Newspersons and photographers will have
facilities in the Press Center to follow and
broadcast the main activities.
Foreign minister, Juan Carlos Varela,
indicated that the first session of the SICA
summit will analyze results achieved by this
institution under the pro tempore presidency
of Panama.
Also Ital's prime minister, Silvio
Berlusconi, is expected to discuss subjects
of bilateral interest and sign agreements on
legal and security issues.
Berlusconi will also attend the formal
inauguration of construction works of new
locks of the Panama Canal with the presence
of Italian companies. |
