Panama is Ready for
Judo Grand Prix
PANAMA - Organizing Committee of 2010 Judo
Pan American Grand Prix in Panama February
26-28 announced that everything is set for
the competition.
Jorge Armada, coordinator of this event,
pointed out it is expected the participation
of 16 countries.
He said that World and Olympic gold medal
winners are going to take part in the event.
He announced the best judo players from
Cuba, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, the USA,
Venezuela, Uruguay, Guatemala, Costa Rica,
El Salvador, Honduras and Mexico will be
there too.
Players from Netherlands Antilles, Puerto
Rico, Dominican Republic and Panama will
also take part.
Armada announced the event is sponsored by
the Pan American Judo Confederation and the
Olympic Committee of Panama. Winners at this
competition classify for the 2011 Pan
American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. The
opening ceremony will take place at the gym
of Santa Maria La Antigua University. The
technical meeting will take place there too
on Thursday. |
