Syrian Woman Dies At
Age 107
DAMASCUS - Syrian woman Fahima Omar al-
Jarallah, died Tuesday at the age of 107,
leaving about 400 grandsons, the official
SANA news agency reported.
Fahima is from Palmyra, 315 km northeast of
Damascus. Khatib, Fahima's third son, said
his mother enjoyed a clear memory and good
health until her death.
He said that Fahima was independent in
securing her needs as buying things and
food, washing clothes and taking the stairs
up to her home at the third floor, adding
that she did not suffer from any chronic
diseases as she was fond of travel, the
report said.
