Dog Festival On Sunday

Sunday, the Asociación Nacional Protectora de Animales (ANPA) will hold the XIII Festival de Canes in Curridabat and all dog lovers are invited to attend.

The event will begin at 10am and will include activities like the choosing of the most talented dog, the dog and owner who most look alike, the best dressed dog and the crowing of the king and queen of the "zaguates" (no breed dogs or muts).

The animal protection association will also have on hand products for dogs, vaccinations and games to keep children entertained.

Last year some 100 dogs were vaccinated during the event, this year organizers expect to double that.

In addition, if you can't take your dog, bring along a photograph, as there will be an award handed out for that as well.
