US Crusade against
Venezuela Denounced
CARACAS - The VP of Venezuela's United
Socialist Party (PSUV) Aristobulo Isturiz
denounced on Sunday a US crusade that seeks
to prepare the international public opinion
for violent actions against the South
American country.
According to the Venezuelan leader,
Washington and its world right wing allies'
plans include such plots as assassination
and coup d'etat.
Isturiz considers that the recent anti
Venezuelan measures clearly show the
preparation of a favorable stage for
internal destabilization.
Reports and accusations of alleged violation
of human rights, no collaboration with the
anti-drug fight and support to ETA and FARC
are part of the campaign against Venezuela,
pointed out Isturiz.
He also mentioned that Spain's High Court
Judge Eloy Velasco tried to link Venezuela
with ETA and FARC without substantial
evidence. That position brought about a
brief Madrid-Caracas diplomatic dispute.
The vice president said that those
allegations are part of a major plan that
includes the deployment of the 4th Fleet in
the Caribbean Sea, the spread of the
Pentagon military bases in Colombia and
Panama, air incursions from Curacao and
infiltration of Colombian paramilitary and
espionage.
"They want the international community to
approve any violent action against the
Bolivarian Revolution and its leader Hugo
Chavez," Isturiz told Prensa Latina at
Caracas Planning School, venue of the First
PSUV Extraordinary Congress. |
