Drop In
Gasoline Prices On The Way
Filling the gas tank this month will be a
little cheaper as the Autoridad Reguladora
de Servicios Públicos (Aresep) is processing
a reduction in gasoline prices that will
take effect in the coming week.
According to the Aresep, the proposed
changes will see gasoline prices drop to
¢593 for a litre of super, from the current
price of ¢627, or ¢34 colones less; regular
will drop to ¢566 from the current ¢599, or
¢33 less; and, diesel will drop to ¢495 from
the current ¢535 or ¢40 colones less.
The cost of natural gas, aviation fuel and
kerosene will also drop.
The new prices are official once the Aresep
approves them, which is expected before the
end of this week and then will go into
effect within five days, allowing time to be
published in the official government
newsletter, La Gaceta. |
