Transworld Traveller Details
His 12 Day Stay In Costa Rica
In the summer of 2009, Nicolas Rapp, decided
to take a break from his Art Director job at
The Associated Press to attempt a one-year
overland travel around the world in a Toyota
Landcruiser.
Nicolas details his experiences on his blog
that includes stories of people helping the
expedition with donations, a country by
country actual expenses and stats of his
year of living dangerously.
In his 12 days in Costa Rica, Nicolas says
he spent a total of $130 on gas and $160 for
food, grocery shopping and lodging.

visit to the Crocodiles of Tarcoles and
camping out on the beach of Manuel Antonio.
To date, Nicolas has travelled 18.380
kilometres (11.489 miles) from New York City
to the Argentinean border.
