Costa Rica Woke Up To Cheaper
Gasoline Prices This Morning
The cost of gasoline at the pumps this
morning is cheaper than yesterday morning,
as the first drop in gasoline prices took
effect at the stroke of midnight. However,
don't get too used to the lower prices, a
price hike is expected for next month.
The price of a litre of super gasoline
dropped ˘34 colones overnight, while regular
dropped ˘33 and diesel ˘40.
The new prices at the pumps this morning is
˘593 for super, ˘566 for regular and ˘494
for diesel.
Natural gas, aviation fuel and kerosene
prices are also cheaper today.
What the change means is a savings of ˘1.530
colones to fill a 45 litre tank with super;
˘1.485 with regular; and, ˘1.800 with
diesel.
However, come next month, the price of a
litre of super is expected to jump ˘35
colones, regular ˘31 and diesel ˘20. When
approved, the price of a litre of super in
April will be ˘628, ˘597 for regular and
˘514 for diesel.
