Unadvertised Insanely Low
Fares To Costa Rica
Mexicana Airlines has slashed fares from its
major US gateways to San José, Costa Rica.
This is not an advertised sale and could
disappear at any moment.
Fares from Chicago are as low as us$246
round-trip including taxes, and seats can be
found for year round travel.
Fares from other cities appear to be
available only for April or May travel and
range from us$249 (from Los Angeles) to
us$288 (from New York JFK). Fares from
Washington are us$286, all including taxes.
However, fares for travel during other
months aren't much higher. For example,
Airfarewatchdog researchers found seats from
New York to San Jose for as little as us$314
round-trip for October travel.
These are unusually low fares.
Were you to fly from San Francisco to San
José at present fares, you'd pay well over
us$600 with taxes. So it might behoove you
to fly on another airline from San Francisco
to Los Angeles and then onward from Los
Angeles to San José. |
