Plan to Destabilize Caracas
Denounced
CARACAS - Sectors of the Venezuelan
opposition led by Caracas" metropolitan
mayor, Antonio Ledezma, organize a
destabilizing plan to sow chaos here after
Easter, today denounced the capital
Councilor, Alexander Nebreda.
According to the official, the subversive
actions include sabotage and cessation in
Caracas of public transportation, education,
and health services.
Strikes will be called as the one
neutralized on Monday in transport, and
people of informal economy will be mobilized
with the mission of closing streets
downtown, he said in statements to the
media. According Nebreda, social and
political intelligence networks provided the
information.
The metropolitan council, talked about the
possibility for the destabilization plan to
have a national scope.
Ledezma and opposition politicians such as
Leopoldo Lopez and Henry Ramos are
responsible, he said.
For Nebreda, this and any destabilization
attempt will be neutralized by the followers
of the revolutionary process led by Hugo
Chávez.
We already defeated the transport strike and
now we will remain together: the people,
Venezuela's United Socialist Party, and the
progressive forces to counteract it, he
said.
The leader said that reports on the
subversive plans are transferred to the
State's security bodies for proceeding. |
