Salvadorans Nix Media
Campaign against Cuba
SAN SALVADOR - Salvadoran coordinator of
solidarity with Cuba condemned the media
campaign against Cuba with the purpose of
harming the Revolution's prestige.
People quoting news from unknown publishing
houses whose sources are in Miami, received
and supported dangerous terrorists like
Posada Carriles, said the coordinator.
A press release described as furious the
crusade begun in this city by the Republican
Nationalist Alliance, the US embassy and
media outlets of the extreme right, as a
result of the anti-Cuban resolution approved
by the European Union.
The resolution uses as pretext the death in
Cuba of a common criminal with a record of
robberies, assaults and brutal attacks with
sharp instruments, pointed out the document.
People leading this campaign are those
behind Msgr. Romero's murder, those that
never admitted the state responsibility and
themselves in crimes against humanity, she
said.
Those who kept in silence while the US flew
to secret prisons in Europe or who was quiet
with Abu Grahib's tortures in Guantanamo can
not speak about humanity.
Those who keep silence on the suffering of
the five Cuban fighters against terrorism
while real terrorists are free in Miami; can
not insult our intelligence, pointed out the
document.
The Coordinator, gathering 53 organizations
and political parties, demonstrated this
weekend to demand cessation of the media
campaign against Cuba. |
