RIO DE JANEIRO - Petrobras, the state-owned
oil and gas giant of Brazil, is the
country's most valuable brand, according to
the results of a survey released Friday.
The survey conducted by consulting company
BrandAnalytics puts Petrobras' brand value
at 19.3 billion reais (11.1 billion U.S.

Petrobras said the results are a recognition
of the trust the company has among various

processes, products, and to invest in
technology and environmental responsibility
to meet the expectations of all Brazilians,"
said Wilson Santarosa, the company's

a brand value of 14.8 billion reais (8.5
billion dollars), followed by the Itau bank,
