Sun and Rain Forecast For Saturday In La Sabana

If you are planning on attending the swearing in ceremony of Laura Chinchilla on Saturday, take note of the weather conditions.

The weatherman says Saturday morning will be hot and sunny and recommends to have dress accordingly.

Rebeca Mora of the Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) - national weather service - says the area around the Sabana will be hot - not just politically speaking - but the sun will beam down on the event.

Temperatures are expected to reach 29 Celsius.

However, the hot sun of the morning could turn to clouds in the early afternoon and with it a downpour. The rain is expected after noon time, by which time the Traspaso de Poderes will be over.

But, just in case the event drags on or is delayed, the organizers of the Traspaso de Poderes say they will have umbrellas on hand for many.

The IMN is predicting rain in San José's west side between 1pm and 2pm.

In addition, by Monday the entire country should be officially in the "rainy" season, said Mora.
