Argentina Stops Dengue,
Yellow Fever
BUENOS AIRES - Argentina reduced 96 percent
its dengue and yellow fever cases compared
to 2009 when it reported 2,600 contagions
and the diseases just hit at two of 68
municipalities.
The number of cases this year remained under
1,000, in figures Health Minister Juan
Manzur defined as "square and encouraging"
on addressing the Federal Health Council in
Resistencia, some 1,019km north Buenos
Aires.
El Chaco Governor Jorge Capitanich also
highlighted the National Dengue and Yellow
Fever Prevention and Control Program
successful for they managed to cut cases
from 1,200 to 89.
