Colombian University Students
Show High Drug Abuse
BOGOTA - Colombian university students are
the biggest drug consumers of in the Andean
region of South America, showed today a
social study.
It was reported that 4.6 percent of these
young students affirmed having used
synthetic drugs in their lives, such as
ecstasy.
The same investigation of the Andean
Community of Nations showed that in the case
of Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru, university
students admitted the consumption in1.6
percent of the interviews.
With regard to marijuana, 26.7 percent of
Colombians said they tried it at least once,
compared with 11.5 percent of Ecuadoreans,
nine percent in Peru, and 7.6 in Bolivia.
In cocaine consumption Colombian university
students also outnumber their peers in other
nations of the region, reported Caracol
Radio. In the case of alcohol, there is a
tie between Colombia and Peru, where 90
percent of the students confessed having
drink at least once in their lives. |
