Ricardo Martinelli Changes

PANAMA - Panamanian President Ricardo
Martinelli, announced on Wednesday changes
in his government team when arriving to the
first year of administration, which began on
July 1, 2009.
In this regard, Martinelli estimated that
after a year a person's work can be
appreciated and "There are a few that have
stayed behind".
In the coming weeks the new ministries of
Public Security and Government will formally
enter in activity substituting the portfolio
of Government and Justice.
For the first of these instances the chief
will be Jose Raul Mulino, while the second
will be leaded by Roxana Mendez.
Martinelli revealed Panama has access to the
database of the Department of Administrative
Security (DAS) of Colombia, as part of
efforts to combat drug trafficking and money
laundering.
