Rainy Season
"Officially"
Upon Us
Although it
hasn't rained
all week in the
San José area,
the Instituto
Meteorológico
Nacional (IMN) -
national weather
service -
assures us the
"rainy" season
is official.

It appears that
we don't need
the rain to make
the start of the
rainy season
official, just
the date on the
calendar.
What this means
in reality is
that it is time
to start
carrying an
umbrella -
always.
If you don't
(forget or
choose not to)
you have no one
to blame for
getting
drenched, as you
have been
warned,
"officially".
According to the
weather service,
this rainy
season will be a
wet one, where
at least 20%
more than than
last year was
expected.
That is not to
say that it will
be as bad as
years past,
since last
year's rainy
season was
moderately dry. |
