Venezuela Towards New Model
Of Country
CARACAS - Venezuela is intensively fighting
speculation, division of land into large
estates, and insecurity, and the approval of
legislative reforms and implementation of a
new governmental structure this week have
allowed achieving more progress in that
direction.
According to President Hugo Chavez, the
country has begun a new phase towards the
construction of a real State of justice and
right, giving the people more participation
through the Federal Council of Government.
Chavez, who yesterday attended the first
plenary meeting of that administrative
mechanism, called upon its members to leave
differences behind and favor productive
development in a planned way.
With that objective, the new structure will
have a Compensation Fund to finance projects
of its secretariat, chaired by Vice
President Elias Jaua, and grouping thee
ministers, equal number of mayors,
governors, and community leaders.
The idea is to create development
mechanisms, zones the executive will choose
to encourage people's power with the
communities as primary cells of the
political, social, and economic apparatus. |
