Cuba Launches Anti-Homophobia Campaign

HAVANA - Cuba on Monday launched a week-long campaign to fight discrimination against the gay community, joining the rest of the international community to mark the International day Against Homophobia.

A series of scientific and cultural events are being held across the country, including a seminar for police officers in Havana.

About 40 police officers attended the seminar, at which experts from the National Center for Sexual Education (CENESEX) talked about discriminatory treatment the gay community suffers from police.
