“Kölbi
Messenger”
For those who
ant to connect
with your
hotmail (live)
or yahoo
messenger
contacts without
the cost of an
internet
connection or
wi-fi
capabilities of
the cell phone,
ICE now offers
its “Kölbi
Messenger”.
Using your SMS
text messaging
available on the
GSM and 3G
network, all
users have to do
is send the text
message "REG +
your username +
password" to
6040. The
service does not
work on the old
TDMA network.
The system will
immediately
respond to send
a message "ENT"
to enter the
system, with an
immediate
response of your
messenger
contacts online.
Once you have
gotten this far,
it gets
complicated, as
you will need to
learn a complete
new language
using
abbreviations
for commands.
ICE offers help
in deciphering
the code with
its online help
by sending the
message "AYU" or
"AYU INFO" for
more detailed
information on
the commands.
To cut the
connection, the
message "SAL" (Salir)
takes out of the
system.
The cost of
using the
service is ˘2.83
colones for each
message sent and
received.
This service is
different then
text messaging
which from cell
phone to cell
phone. Kölbi
Messenger
connects you to
Hotmail and
Yahoo messengers
without an
internet
connection.
