400 Applications
A Day For A US
Visa
Neither the
economic crisis
or the rising
cost of the
application for
visas to travel
to the United
States has
affected the
demand for Costa
Ricans (Ticos)
applying.
According to the
US Embassy in
San José, they
are processing
some 400
applications a
day.
William Wisell,
consul at the US
Embassy, says
that the embassy
is properly
staffed to meet
the demand which
is processing
applications
within 2 weeks.
However, facing
a rise in demand
for travel of
the end of the
year, Wisell
says that the
process could
take from 4 to 6
weeks for the
second hand of
the year,
especially
approaching
December.
