Retrieve Heroin
Authorities are
theorizing that
the body found
Copey Tibás, San
José, on
Wednesday, was
slip in two by
drug traffickers
to retrieve a
shipment of
heroin.
That is the
conclusion of
Jorge Rojas,
director of the
Organismo de
Investigación
Judicial (OIJ),
after receiving
the results of a
forensic
autopsy.
Rojas explained
that the man was
a "burro" (mule)
and may have
been carrying at
least 30 ovules
of heroin, of
which five were
found in the
body and that
the cuts were
abrupt and
irregular.
The director
says that the
murder is tied
to the same drug
traffickers
responsible for
the death of
another man in
barrio México,
San José, last
May 9. In that
case the OIJ
found 30 ovules
in the body.
The question
now, said Rojas,
where did the
drugs come from?
The body of the
unidentified man
was found in a
creek stuffed in
two bags.
