Tallest
Buildings In
Costa Rica To Be
Built On Paseo
Colón
Two condo towers
proposed on
Paseo Colón will
the tallest
buildings in the
country,
surpassing the
Banco Nacional
building that
now holds the
honour.
The buildings,
which
construction
begins in July,
28 stories each,
reaching a
height of 94
metres (308
feet), 14 metres
(45 feet) taller
than the Banco
Nacional.
The project is
being developed
by Grupo
Immobiliario El
Parque and will
include offices,
stores and 106
apartments with
four penthouses.
The developer
says amenities
will include a
spa, theatre,
children's play
area, pool and
an indoor
fitness tract.
Indoor parking
will be for 499
vehicles.
The first stage
of the
development is
expected to be
completed in 21
months.
"We want a
quality building
that will allow
people to return
to live in the
capital", said
José Luis
Salinas of the
developer firm.
San José mayor
Johnny Araya
said he
considers the
project cause a
boom for the
development of
the area and for
more condos on
Paseo Colón.
In Costa Rica
Inmobiliaria El
Parque built the
condo project
facing the north
side of the
Sabana park and
other similar
projects in
Panama.
Paseo Colón is
the western
entrance to San
José. |
