TDMA May Be Thing Of The Past In December
The 57.000 or so die-hard TDMA cellular users in Costa Rica better prepare for changes as the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) moves forward with its plans to cut the service entirely before the end of the year.

Although there is no definite date, ICE announced earlier this year that the network would be eliminated entirely by the end of the year and there is no indication to the contrary.

TDMA customers will have to move over to either the GSM or 3G networks and will be able to keep their numbers.
